Armenia`s SRC: Tax payments of 1000 large taxpayers decreased by 3.6%  per annum in H1, 2020

The list of the largest  taxpayers in Armenia in the first half of 2020 continues to be headed  by the Armenian-Canadian joint venture "Grand Tobacco" (against the  2nd position a year earlier), having paid over 26.3 billion drams or  $ 54.6 million to the state treasury (with a y- o-y decline of 7.1  %), of which 1.3 billion drams - for customs duties, 5.4 billion  drams - for direct taxes (including income tax, profit tax), 20.7  billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). This  is evidenced by the data published by the RA State Revenue Committee.

Gazprom Armenia CJSC rose to the second position from the third a  year earlier. Tax payments to the budget amounted to 25.98 billion  drams, of which 162.1 million drams - for customs duties, 3.3 billion  drams - for direct taxes, 22.3 billion drams - for indirect taxes.

The Zangezur Molybdenum Combine CJSC moved down to the third place,  from the leading first position a year earlier, having paid AMD 21.6  billion to the state budget, of which AMD 769.3 million in customs  duties, AMD 8.6 billion in direct taxes (including profit tax, income  tax), 845.7 million AMD - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise  tax).  Geopromining Gold LLC moved up to the fourth place, from the  5th year earlier, with tax payments of 12.8 billion drams, of which  910.2 million drams in customs duties, 6.9 billion drams in direct  taxes, 1.01 billion drams - for indirect taxes.  The top five for the  first half of 2020 is closed by CPS Oil Corporation LLc., which rose  from the 12th position a year earlier. The company's contributions to  the state budget amounted to 9.7 billion drams, of which 150.5  million drams - for customs duties, 172.1 million drams - for direct  taxes, 9.5 billion drams - for indirect taxes.  In total, the five  leaders paid taxes to the budget amounting to 96.4 billion drams, of  which 24.4 billion - for direct taxes (including profit tax, income  tax) and 54.4 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT,  excise tax). Compared to last year's five tax payments, the current  figure was 2.8% less.

The top5 leaders are followed by International Masis Tabak (6th  position, versus 4th year earlier), Flash oil trader (held onto 7th  position), Philip Morris LLC (8th position, against the 9th year  earlier), "Electric Networks of Armenia" (9th position, against the  6th a year earlier), and "MTS Armenia" (trademark VivaCell-MTS)  jumped to the 10th position from the 37th last year .

According to the SRC, in the first half of 2020, the 1000 largest  taxpayers of Armenia paid 492.7 billion drams to the state treasury,  which is 3.6% less than the indicator a year ago.
