ArmInfo.The Ministry of Finance of Armenia presented a report on the activities of the department for 2019 during a meeting in the government, held with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
As reported by the press service of the government, the Minister of Finance of Armenia Atom Janjughazyan reported on the work done in the direction of fiscal policy, effective financial management, public debt management, the introduction of an accountable system, and spoke about improving the capacities of public administration through retraining courses.
The meeting participants also touched upon the reforms being carried out by the Ministry, including in the tax field and the procurement system, as well as cooperation with international financial organizations.
The RA Prime Minister noted the importance of the programs carried out by the Ministry in the above areas, and stressed the need to implement consistent measures aimed at effective financial management.
In particular, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of introducing additional mechanisms for the timely implementation of measures stipulated by the state budget expenditure program, which during the year will make the process of spending funds and their management more predictable.
