According to the source, about 2 thousand tons will be provided by local producers, the rest will be imported.

To recall, the Armenian government approved a state assistance program to stimulate the production of winter wheat, the purpose of which is to ensure the availability of seeds with high agro-economic indicators, to increase yields and, as a consequence, to increase the yield of local varieties of winter wheat, through partial subsidies or compensation for the price of winter wheat seeds, and income of business entities.
Accordingly, it is proposed to partially subsidize or compensate for the price of elite seeds and / or seeds sold to farmers who cultivate 2-20 hectares of wheat, as well as farmers who produce and / or imported elite seeds of the first reproduction of winter wheat in Shirak, Syunik, Gegharkunik, Lori, Aragatsotn, Tavush and Kotayk regions. According to Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, the market price of winter wheat seeds is 200-220 drams/kg, while the size of the state subsidy will be 70 drams/kg.
