ArmInfo. In 2020, in terms of revenues, the state budget of the Republic of Artsakh will make 126.5 billion drams, and in terms of expenditures - 134.6 billion drams. The state budget deficit will amount to 8.6 billion drams. This was announced during the first meeting of the government of the Republic of Artsakh, during which the draft law on amending the Law on State Budget 2020 of Artsakh Republic> was discussed.
It is reported that the draft law was developed in order to fulfill a number of provisions of the program of the President of the Artsakh Republic for 2020-2025. In particular, it was proposed to slightly increase costs in the field of introducing modern irrigation systems, expanding the irrigation network and improving management efficiency. In addition, the costs of the "Implementation of agricultural activities" program were increased.
Healthcare spending will be increased by 400 million drams. The funds will be used to raise the salaries of medical workers, expand services in the field of hemodialysis and angiography, and organize work on the treatment of infertility. In addition, free heart surgeries will be organized for private participants of the Great Patriotic War and persons equated to them, as well as veterans who participated in hostilities in the defense of the Republic of Artsakh.
In the educational sector, an additional 200 million drams will be spent to introduce a system of free higher and secondary vocational education.
The corresponding expenditure program will be increased by 710 million drams for the development and improvement of infrastructures in communities, expanding the possibilities of repairing the rural housing stock, laying roads in villages, increasing the volume of providing building materials to communities and residents. It was proposed to allocate 100 million drams to subsidize a certain part of the cost of electricity consumed by residents in non-gasified communities of the Republic of Artsakh.
At the end of the meeting, Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan noted that in 2021 the republic will register unprecedented economic growth.
