ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the eve of a working visit visited Gegharkunik region, where he got acquainted with the process of implementing state subsidy programs in a number of communities.
As reported by the press service of the RA government, the visit of the Prime Minister began with the Lchashen community. Within the framework of the subsidy program implemented by the RA government, the kindergarten is being renovated in the community. During the tour of the territory of the preschool institution, the work done here was presented to the Prime Minister. It was noted that before the implementation of the program there were 3 groups in the kindergarten, some of the children were not able to attend the kindergarten. After renovation and expansion, the group will be expanded by 40 beds, and the entire facility will be fully functional with 120 beds. The works are in the final stages, they will be completed by the end of October this year. The cost of the reconstruction project is 18 million drams, 65% of which is provided by the government, 35% - by the Lchashen community. Governor of Gegharkunik region Gnel Sanosyan noted that in 2019 -2020. in Lchashen, 7 subvention programs have been implemented, including asphalting roads, building a street lighting network and other infrastructure development programs.
The Prime Minister's next stop was the Gandzak community. Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the asphalting of Baghramyan Street in Gandzak, and also with the renovation of the central square of the community. It was noted that Gandzak Street is being repaired at the expense of state funds. The road works began at the end of last year and will be completed in September this year. The length of the road is 2 km, the area of asphalt works will be 13 thousand square meters. At the moment, about 60% of construction work has been completed. The cost of the program is over AMD 307 million. And 14.5 million drams were allocated for the reconstruction of the central square of the community. Construction started 2 weeks ago. A lighting system will be installed on the square, the territory will be landscaped, benches installed, crossings laid, a river bed built near the square. Nikol Pashinyan also visited the 9th century church preserved in the center of the village of Gandzak. Prime Minister Pashinyan went from Gandzak to the Tsovasar community, where a kindergarten will appear for the first time under a subsidy program. During the site survey, the Prime Minister was provided with detailed information about the project. Construction began in 2019 with completion scheduled for 2020. It is planned to build a new building for a kindergarten, improve the overall area. The cost of the project is 203 million drams, 65% of which is provided by the government, 35% - by the municipality of Tsovasar. The new kindergarten will have 100 places in 4 groups. At the moment, construction is completed by 50-60%. The Governor of Gegharkunik noted that the Tsovasar subsidy program consists of three important components: a kindergarten will appear in the community for the first time, the state and investors participate in the program, and community residents are involved in construction work.
Continuing his working visit to Gegharkunik region, the Prime Minister visited the communities of Lichk, Vardenik and Artsvanist. In the first two communities, subvention programs are being implemented, and in Artsvanist community, major repairs and asphalting of intra-community roads are being carried out. Prime Minister Pashinyan got acquainted with the work on the spot, talked with builders, inquired about the quality of work and working conditions. It was noted that within the framework of the programs launched in early August in Lichk municipality, the asphalting of 1,800 meters of intra-community roads is underway. The project cost is about 82 million drams, of which 60% was provided by the government, and 40% - by the municipality of Lichka. Construction will be completed in the coming months. In Vardenik, a total of 6 km of the internal communal road is being paved. The project cost is about 290 million drams, 60% of which is provided by the government, 40% - by the municipality of Vardenik. The program provides for asphalting 12 streets. Work is underway in Artsvanist to ensure road safety.
