Head of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian sent a letter to General Secretary of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF) Louise Mushikiwabo , in which he spoke about several presidential programs, the purpose of which is to form a regional platform for economic cooperation in Armenia.
As reported by the RA President's press office, Sarkissian invited Louise Mushikiwabo to Yerevan to take part in the second " Summit of Minds ", which is scheduled for October 10 to Oct.11 and which will unite world famous political, economic, scientific and cultural figures. The main topics of the summit will be geopolitics and artificial intelligence. "The success of the first summit in 2019 prompted us to make it annual and outside Chamonix, with the aim of expanding the geography of the summit and identifying new ideas and opportunities," the letter of the Armenian President says.
Sarkissian also spoke about another presidential initiative - the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) program, the main goal of which is to make Armenia a regional platform in the field of high technologies and artificial intelligence.
The RA President also touched upon his initiative to create the Club of Successful Small States, noting that he discussed the program with the leaders of a number of interested countries, including some French- speaking countries, including Rwanda and Qatar.
According to him, the goal of the initiative is not to replace the existing links of cooperation and not to create a cumbersome structure, but to unite small states that can achieve success in various fields within a flexible platform for cooperation and dialogue.
