ArmInfo.The Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan got acquainted with the production of the "GORIS GAMMA" company, which manufactures products (parts) for the military industry.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry. According to the source, the angle converters manufactured at the enterprise are exported to Russia and used in the production of MiG and SU aircraft, as well as to Canada. Within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and the Armed Forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the company is developing a number of military-industrial projects, which were presented to the attention of the Minister.
During the visit, Arshakyan talked with engineers, got acquainted with the manufactured products, the territory of the plant, and the working process conditions. It should be noted that OJSC "GORIS GAMMA" (the former Goris Instrument Plant) was established in 1981 on the basis of the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, as a specialized enterprise as part of "ZARYA" in St. Petersburg, for the serial production of fourteen-bit photoelectric digital angle converters of the PPFE-14 type, the general customer of which was the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, FAZATRON (now OJSC Corporation FAZATRON -NIIR).
