ArmInfo. Imports of oil products to Armenia in quantitative terms increased in the first half of 2020 by 53.3% per annum - up to 246.2 thousand tons (against an increase of 4.1% a year earlier). At the same time, the customs value increased by 5.8% - to $ 128.4 million, while a year earlier in the same period a decline of 4.9% was recorded. This is evidenced by the data of the Armenian Customs Service.
During the reporting period, oil products were mainly imported from Russia (80.5%) and Iran (12.8%), as well as Turkey (2.7%), Romania (1.6%), Greece (1.2%), Georgia (0.4%). According to the source, in the reporting period, the export of oil products underwent significant growth, as in the previous year. Export volumes from 4 tons in the first half of 2019 increased to 154.3 tons in the same period of 2020, against the background of an increase in the customs value from $ 6.4 thousand to $ 117.6 thousand. In the first half of 2020, Armenia exported the dominant volume of oil products to Iran - 92.5%, and the rest of the volume falls on the Russian Federation (5.3%), Belarus (1.4%), Georgia and Ukraine.
