In the first 7 months, 19.530 children were born in Armenia (in the same period of 2019 - 19.372), the change in absolute value compared to the first half of last year was 100.8%. At the same time, in the current year, the birth rate per thousand per 1,000 population is 11.4, in January-July 2019 - 11.2, in the same period of 2018 - 11.4. The indicator of natural population growth in the current year was 2394 people (in the first 7 months of 2019 - 3579), ppm per 1000 population - 2.4 (2.1 - for the same period of 2019, 2.4 - 2018).
In January-July 2020, 17136 deaths were registered (15793 - a year earlier), thus, the change in absolute value compared to 2019 was 108.5%. In total, mortality per thousand per 1000 population in the first 7 months of this year is 11.4 (11.2 - for 7 months of last year, 11.4 - the year before).
