ArmInfo.Revenue in the communications sector of Armenia in January-July 2020 in comparison with the same period of 2019, it sank by 4.5% (against 1.5% growth a year earlier), amounting to 80.7 billion drams. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
According to statistics, the lion's share of the total revenue was provided by the telecommunications sector - 90.4% or 73 billion drams, with the acceleration of the annual decline from 3.4% to 4.4%. Moreover, only for July 2020. the total revenue of the communications sector increased by 1.7% to 11.8 billion drams. Of these, 10.7 billion drams, with a monthly growth of 2.2%, were provided by the telecommunications sector.
As a comparison, we note that in January-July 2019. the revenue of the communications sector of Armenia amounted to 84.5 billion drams, of which 90.3% or 76.3 billion drams was provided by the telecommunications sector.
