Edmon Marukyan sent a letter to PSRC chairman with a request to  clarify situation of personnel and salary fund reductions in <Gazprom  Armenia>

ArmInfo. The leader of the Bright Armenia parliamentary faction, Edmon Marukyan, sent a letter to the Chairman of the Public Services Settlement Commission (PSRC)  Garegin Baghramyan with a request to conduct an investigation to find  out the reasons and legality of staff and salary reductions at  <Gazprom Armenia> CJSC. The MP announced this on his Facebook page.

In particular, in the letter, Marukyan wrote that according to the  information he had provided, numerous employees (inspectors and  others) of Gazprom Armenia CJSC were dismissed; in addition, the  salaries of the company's personnel were reduced by 20%.

"It is unclear what is the reason for such large-scale staff and  salary reductions, but it is clear that in the current difficult  social conditions with the loss of jobs for these employees, the  negative consequences will be borne first of all by their families,  and then by the state," the letter says.  At the same time, the  leader of the "Bright Armenia" faction noted that the answer received  from the head of the PSRC will also be published on his official  Facebook page.

To recall, in June this year Hrant Tadevosyan, General Director of  <Gazprom Armenia>, told reporters that he would have to dismiss about  a thousand of his employees. According to him, about 800 inspectors  and another 200 people from other units will have to be released from  work, the absence of which will not threaten the security of the  network. "We didn't do this for a year so as not to deprive people of  their jobs, but now we can't keep them," the director of <Gazprom  Armenia> added.

To note, in June of this year, at the PSRC meeting, new gas tariffs  were established. In particular, they remained unchanged for the  population (100 AMD per cubic meter for disadvantaged families, 139 -  for the rest), while slightly increased for business. In addition,  following the meeting, Gazprom was provided with an annual salary  fund of 14.7 billion drams, instead of the requested 18.9 billion  drams. <And this means we will have to cut people, > he said.
