Central Bank of Armenia forecasts inflation at 2.5% by the end of  2020

ArmInfo.The Central Bank of Armenia forecasts inflation at 2.5% by the end of 2020, which corresponds to the lower threshold of the acceptable range under the baseline scenario. Chairman of the Central Bank of the RA Martin  Galstyan spoke about this on September 

15 during a press conference.  He noted that in August the annual  inflation (compared to August 2019) was 1.8%, and the real inflation  was 1.1%.

Regarding 2021, M. Galstyan noted that, according to the baseline  scenario, inflation is expected to be within 1.7-2%.

To note, in the early April forecast of the World Bank in Armenia for  2020, inflation was expected at 3% with an increase in 2021 to 3.5%  and reaching the target threshold of 4% in 2022.
