ArmInfo.A wine festival will be held in Moscow on September 20, in which such wine brands of Armenia as Karas, Keush, Van Ardi, Voskevaz, Kataro, Old Bridge, Alluria, Tushpa, Armenia Wine Company will participate.
At the festival, guests will have the opportunity to taste the best Armenian wines, treat themselves to Areni grapes, participate in lectures on the rich traditions of Armenian winemaking, as well as enjoy performances by musicians and various dance ensembles. It is believed that the art of winemaking appeared on the territory of Armenia many years before the common era. According to the biblical legend, Noah, descending Mount Ararat, planted a vine, thus laying the foundation for the tradition of winemaking in Armenia. Millennia later, Armenian winemakers are still famous for their achievements in production.
The entrance to the festival is free. It will take place at 12:00 in the Armenia Pavilion at VDNKh. The organizers of the festival are the Armenia Pavilion and the famous entertainer, blogger, correspondent of ArmInfo in Russia Roman Baghdasaryan. According to Baghdasaryan, the festival is aimed at maintaining the export potential of wine production in Armenia, the capabilities of Armenian winemakers and peasants, creating strong ties with Russian importers of this drink.
To note, the volume of wine produced in Armenia in the first half of 2020 decreased by 31.7% (against an increase of 42.8% a year earlier), amounting to 3.9 million liters. The lion's share of the export of Armenian grapes (85%) falls on the Russian market.
