ArmInfo. In 8 months of 2020, the shortfall in tax revenues to the state budget of Armenia amounted to about 49 billion AMD. On September 24, the Chairman of  the State Revenues Committee of the RA Edward Hovhannisyan told  reporters at the end of the government meeting.

He stated that the shortage is due to the negative consequences of  COVID-19. However, as the head of the SRC noted, it is still about  the preliminary figure, the SRC will present the final report in the  near future.  The head of the Committee did not rule out that by the  end of the year the difference between the planned revenues and the  actual implementation of the provisions of the state budget of the  country will grow.  Nevertheless, according to Edward Hovhannisyan,  the situation is under control.

The National Assembly of Armenia on December 6 last year approved the  state budget for 2020, according to which the revenue line is 1.69  trillion drams, expenditure - 1.88 trillion drams. The budget deficit  will amount to 182.6 million drams. Inflation is planned at 4% (+  1.5%).
