ArmInfo. By order of the head of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia, during the last two weeks of September, state control actions were carried out on the alcoholic beverages market.
As a result, no violations were recorded in 229 economic entities, and in 91 organizations a violation of the requirements of the legislation regulating the field of food safety was revealed. In particular, alcoholic beverages with labeling violations were found in 50 business entities, the sale of which was suspended. In addition, 33.5 liters of alcoholic beverages of unknown origin were found in 12 organizations, the sale of which was suspended, and the batch was destroyed. Research is still underway in 16 business entities.
The Inspection Body calls on citizens to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages of unknown origin, reminds that the circulation of alcoholic beverages of unknown origin is prohibited and urges, in case of detection or detection of the turnover of any food products in violation of RA legislation, to call the hotline of the Inspection Body at 010206040 and 012906090.
To recall, from August 31 to September 5, a total of 46 cases of alcohol poisoning were detected, of which 20 were fatal. Criminal cases were initiated on the facts of making or selling counterfeit wine or counterfeit vodka or other counterfeit alcoholic beverage for sale.
