Tigran Khachatryan: Next year free trade agreements between a number  of states and EAEU member states will enter into force

ArmInfo. Next year we will have a new, more simplified regime for the movement of goods with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, including through the Upper Lars checkpoint. Minister of Economy of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan  stated this in the Armenian parliament.

He noted that it is planned to begin work on free trade agreements  with Iran and Egypt in 2021. In the case of Egypt, it is planned to  bring the agreement to the level of signing.  "In addition, an  agreement on a free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union  and Singapore will enter into force, as well as agreements on trade,  services and investment between Armenia and Singapore.  In accordance  with them, Singapore agreed not to impose customs duties on goods  from the Eurasian Economic Union," - said Khachatryan.

The minister said that next year the free trade agreement between  Serbia and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union will also  enter into force. This will create more favorable trade conditions  for Armenia with Serbia. "We have agreed on the most advantageous  regime for us, especially on the export of products for which the  Armenian economy is most competitive, for example, alcoholic  beverages and tobacco products," Khachatryan concluded.
