ArmInfo. Within three years, Team Telecom will create an additional 800 jobs as a result of the deal with VEON Armenia and the development of a new strategy. Co- founder of Team Telecom Hayk Yesayan said this at a press conference on December 3, answering a question from an ArmInfo correspondent.
He said that with the acquisition of 100% of the shares of VEON Armenia, which has already been renamed Telecom Armenia, the company employed about 1700 employees, and the staff of Team Telecom was 480 people. <At the moment, the number of jobs in VEON Armenia exceeds 1900. I think that in general, the Team Telecom team will employ over 2,500 people for 3 years, "Yesayan said.
In particular, the owner of the new company explained that 300 jobs will be created in the telecommunications sector during this time, and taking into account all the new directions of the strategy that the company intends to develop in the IT sector, the number of new employees will reach 500.
Yesayan explained that the increase in jobs is due to the fact that earlier VEON received a number of services from companies of the VEON group in various countries. "Now we will try to transfer all processes to Armenia, and organize these services through internal resources. Both financially and from the point of view of the labor market, this is beneficial for us, '' he stressed.
