Minister: By the end of the year, inflation in Armenia will not  exceed 2-2.5%

ArmInfo.By the end of the year, inflation in Armenia will not exceed 2-2.5%. On January 14, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Keropyan stated this in an interview with  journalists after the government session.

According to him, inflation indicators will be at the target level.  The observed slight increase in prices for certain goods is offset by  a decrease in others. The situation on international markets, where a  sharp rise in prices for a number of goods is observed, and which  Armenia cannot influence, plays an important role in inflationary  processes in the country. "In any case, inflation rates in the  country are much lower than in neighboring countries and in partner  countries. In Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran and Georgia,  inflation is much higher. Thanks to the efforts of the Central Bank,  the situation is much milder here",  the Minister noted, adding that today or tomorrow the indicators on the country's economy for December 2020 will be published.
