ArmInfo.The metallurgical industry of Armenia for 11 months of 2020 increased production volumes by 1.7% per annum, against 21.4% growth for the same period of 2019. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
Ferromolybdenum production in January-November 2020 compared to the same period in 2019 decreased by 14.5%, amounting to 6080.8 tons. In November alone, 605 tons of ferromolybdenum were produced, which is 2.2-fold more than in October.
Copper concentrate production in January-November decreased by 4.3% per annum - to 346.1 thousand tons, and in November alone, the volume decreased by 10.9% - to 28.5 thousand tons.
Molybdenum concentrate production in January-November 2020 increased 1.7-fold over the year, amounting to 22,715 tons, and in November alone, an increase was recorded by 20% - up to 2,302 tons.
Production of zinc concentrate in January-November increased by 19.9% per annum - up to 12,062 tons, of which 956 tons fell in November with a monthly decline of 4.3%.
The production of aluminum foil in January-November amounted to 32,608 tons with a y-o-y growth of 14.3%, and in November alone the volume increased by 1.6% - up to 3,104 tons.
The production of steel pipes in January-November increased 1.6-fold per year - up to 17,011 tons, and in November alone it decreased by 11.4% to 1,576 tons.
Alloy (carbon) steel castings were produced in January-November in the amount of 13,917.8 tons, with a y- o-y growth of 13.1%. At the same time, production volumes decreased significantly over the month - by 40.8%, amounting to 643 tons.
All metals produced in Armenia are mainly exported to Europe and the USA.
