ArmInfo.The list of 1000 largest taxpayers in Armenia at the end of 2020 included 5 insurance companies out of 6 operating in the country, while a year earlier there were only 3 in this list.
According to the RA State Revenue Committee, the Armenian insurance sector paid taxes for 1.9 billion drams in 2020, which is 43.7% more than a year ago. Of this amount, 30.1% or 602.2 million drams was paid for income tax.
Among insurance companies in terms of tax payments, the leading position is held by Rosgosstrakh Armenia IC, which took the 259th place (against 274th in 2019), having paid 682.8 million drams to the state budget, of which 129.5 million is income tax. INGO Armenia took the 299th place in this list (against 367th in 2019), having replenished the state budget by 587 million drams, of which 202.4 million is income tax. Nairi Insurance, which wan not on the list a year earlier, took 459th place in 2020 (against 518th in 2018), having paid 370.3 million drams to the state budget, of which 156.2 million is income tax. "Armenia Insurance" - took the 868th place (against the absence in the list a year earlier, and 705th place in 2018), having directed 184.4 million drams to the state budget, of which 111.1 million are income tax. SIL Insurance closes the top 5 of insurance companies, taking the 912th place (against 746th in 2019), having paid 174.4 million drams to the state budget, of which 3 million are income tax. According to the State Revenue Committee, at the end of 2020, RESO IC was not included in the list of 1000 largest taxpayers in Armenia, being absent from this list at the end of 2019, before that in 2018 it was ranked 647th.
To note, in 2019, the insurance sector of Armenia reduced tax payments to the state budget by 37.8% to 1.4 billion drams. The leadership was held by the "Rosgosstrakh Armenia" IC, after which the "INGO Armenia" and the IC "SIL Insurance" were located.
