ArmInfo. Freight traffic in Armenia in 2020 increased by 0.7% (against a 49.6% decline in 2019), amounting to 14,822.6 thousand tons. Of these, 9,734.7 thousand tons  (65.6% of the total) are accounted for by road transport, having  increased by 0.9% year on year (against a decline of 60.6% in 2019).  This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

According to statistics, rail freight traffic for the reporting year  decreased by 0.4% - to 3,201 thousand tons (against an increase of  11.5% in 2019).

Freight turnover decreased in 2020 by 1.5% (against an increase of  8.9% in 2019), amounting to 4,704.2 million tonne-km. Air cargo  transportation decreased by 22.7% (against a growth of 14.4% in 2019)  - to 16 thousand tons.

Passenger traffic for the reporting year decreased by 64.1% - to  69,896.1 thousand people, against an increase of 4.4% in 2019. In  particular, road transport decreased by 66.7% (against an increase of  3.6% in 2019) - to 54,822.3 thousand people, by rail - by 28.6%  (against an increase of 11.1% in 2019. ) to 304.5 thousand people, by  air - by 75.4% (instead of an increase by 25.9%) to 883.7 thousand  people, passenger transportation by electric transport - by 46.2%  (against an increase by 6.8%) - up to 13 885.6 thousand people.

Passenger traffic in 2020 decreased by 67.7% (against an increase of  8.1% in 2019), amounting to 887.1 million passenger-km.
