ArmInfo. According to forecasts, there should be no shortage of water during the spring agricultural work in Armenia. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on February 18 at a government meeting.
According to him, forecasts make it possible to speak about favorable weather conditions in terms of water resources. "At least at the moment we will not have problems with the accumulation of water resources, and it is necessary to work very hard on the correct distribution of water resources," the head of the Armenian government said.
According to the Prime Minister, every effort must be made to ensure that the voices of farmers are heard so that they do not have to block roads. Nikol Pashinyan instructed the heads of the responsible departments to keep this issue in the spotlight. "It is necessary to work very closely with regional and community administrations in order to identify problems in advance and to work to prevent their occurrence," Nikol Pashinyan said.
According to him, it is necessary to speak honestly with the villagers and say which problem can be solved urgently and which in the long term.
To note, for several years now, farmers, dissatisfied with the emerging problems with irrigation water, have been organizing protests, mainly by blocking roads.
