ArmInfo.The share of large taxpayers in the net tax revenues of the Republic of Armenia is significant and amounts to 71.1% or 773.3 billion drams.
Eduard Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee (SRC), stated this during a meeting with large taxpayers of Armenia. According to the press service of the SRC, in this regard, the Chairman of the Committee, summing up the results of 2020, full of challenges and difficulties, emphasized the essential role of the latter in ensuring annual indicators. "We attach importance to the participation of large taxpayers in business processes and, therefore, view you as key players in providing tax revenues," he stressed. According to the source, during the meeting, the parties discussed industry problems and areas of cooperation. Informing that for the first time the decision on the law-abiding status of a taxpayer will be fixed by the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia, Hovhannisyan noted that after the adoption of this legislative initiative, the relevant economic entities will be able to use a number of privileges.
It should be reminded that according to the data of the State Revenue Service, 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia paid 987.6 billion drams to the state treasury, which is 7% less than a year ago.
