Armenia`s gross international reserves decreased in January 2021 by  10.1% per annum - up to $ 2.4 billion

ArmInfo. In January 2021, the gross international reserves of Armenia decreased by 8.2% (after growth by 14.8% in December and against the decline of 6.3% in  January 2020), amounting to $ 2.4 billion.

This is evidenced by the data of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. Of these, the lion's share is  $ 2.394 billion. We account for external assets in  SDR, and the share of SDR in the IMF amounted to $ 6.3 million.   According to the regulator's report, for January 2021, external  assets in the SD launched the dynamics aside 8.2% of the decline  since December 16.2% Growth, and the share of SDR slowed down from  74.6% to 30%, against the decline by 6.2% and 17%, respectively, in  January 2020.

In the annual context (January 2021 to January 2020), gross  international reserves decreased by 10.1%, against the background of  a decline in external assets in SD 10.2% and the growth of the SDR  share in the IMF by 23%. A year earlier, in January 2020 by January  2019, the growth of gross international reserves was recorded by  33.9% with a similar 34% increase in external assets in the SDR and  the modest growth of the SDR share in the IMF by 2.9%.

Recall that at the end of 2020, the gross international reserves of  Armenia amounted to $ 2.616 billion, external assets in SDR - $ 2.607  billion, and the share of SDR in the IMF - $ 9 million. In 2020, NMR  decreased by 8.2% (against growth by 26.1% In 2019), external assets  in SLE - by 8.3%, and the share of SDR is 46%, against growth by  26.2% and 3.2%, respectively, in 2019. Within 2020, the downward  dynamics of VMR was observed in January-April, then an upward trend  was highlighted in May, after which the recession resumed, persistent  until December. The share of SDR in the IMF also decreased in the  first four months, jumper sharply in May, after which the decline  resumed, and in June-November there was a monthly moderate session,  and in December, sharp. External assets in SKV demonstrated ascending  dynamics in May, August and December. The share of banking gold in  gross international reserves of Armenia is reset back in December  2003.
