ArmInfo. For the period from January 1, 2021 to April 1, in comparison with the same period last year, the number of trade organizations - residents of the Republic of Armenia, individual entrepreneurs (IE) and non-IE individuals, operating in the micro-entrepreneurship system, increased by 18%.
Thus, according to the RA State Revenue Committee, as of April 1, 2021, 42,801 microentrepreneurship entities were registered in Armenia instead of 36,198 in the previous year.
To recall, from January 1, 2020, Armenia will abandon two alternative systems of taxation - self-employed and family entrepreneurship, and they will be replaced by micro-entrepreneurship with a non-taxable threshold of up to 24 million drams. Business entities performing specialized activities, in particular, accounting, advocacy, consulting, will not be considered microentrepreneurs. Representatives of the trade sector operating in Yerevan, economic entities engaged in trade in shopping centers and fairs outside the capital and car dealers will also not be able to take advantage of the preferential regime. Microbusiness will be exempted from major taxes, with the exception of excise, environmental and road taxes. The income tax for an employee, regardless of the amount of the salary, will be 5 thousand drams.
