In 2020, Armenia reduced wine exports by 5.9%, while imports  increased by 58.4%

ArmInfo.. In 2020, Armenia reduced wine exports by 5.9% to 2.6 million liters, against an  increase of 11.4% in 2019. According to the data of the RA Customs  Service, the value of exported wine decreased by 27.3%,  respectively.% - up to $8.6 million .

The main market for Armenian wine was Russia (68%), while the rest of  the volume fell on Ukraine (8%), the United States (5.7%), Kazakhstan  (2%), Switzerland (1.9%), Poland (1.6%), Belgium (1.5%), France  (1.4%), Belarus and Lithuania ( 1.3% each), and less than 1% on China  and Italy (0.9% each), Kuwait (0.6%).

At the same time, during the reporting year, Armenia increased wine  imports by 58.4% to 715 thousand tons. liters, with an increase in  the customs value by 15.5% - to $1.7 million. Wine was mainly  supplied to the Armenian market from Spain (38.9%) and Ukraine  (26.8%), as well as from Italy (9.9%), Moldova (6.6%), France (5.3%),  Portugal (1.7%), Chile (1.6%).

It should be noted that according to the RA State Committee, in 2020,  Armenia reduced wine production by 13.1% - to 11 million liters.
