ArmInfo. For the stable growth of the economy, such factors as macroeconomic stability and the investment environment are important, the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, said at a meeting with his supporters.
At the same time, he noted that today there is an opportunity to restore the economy of Armenia. "If I wasn't sure that we would be able to repeat the successes in the economic sphere that we had in 1998-2008, I would not have applied for participation in these elections," Kocharyan said, adding that those who do not want to work should not vote for him.
At the same time, the second president noted that there is an opportunity to turn Armenia into a large construction site and create jobs for everyone.
<When you look at the numbers, you realize that not only politics is based on lies, but also the economy. There is no investment at all. A country like us, which does not have such natural resources as oil and gas, cannot develop without serious investments. And the investment environment has been brought to such a state that no sane person will invest in Armenia, " he said.
In his opinion, the authorities have disfigured the principle of bank secrecy and many other segments. <These mask shows, harassment of entrepreneurs and criminal cases do not contribute to the development of the economy. <One sentence was enough to put an end to the investment environment, when the Prime Minister said that each entrepreneur will be assigned one employee of the National Security Service. It means not understanding at all the thinking of an entrepreneur, a businessman - it's just stupid, " he said.
