Pashinyan visited the innovative town of Innopolis in Kazan

ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol  Pashinyan, within the framework of his visit to Kazan, where a  face-to-face meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council took  place, today visited the innovative town of Innopolis.

Nikol Pashinyan toured the innovative city, got acquainted with the  activities of the technopark and the technological environment. The  Mayor of Innopolis Ruslan Shigaleev and the General Director of the  Technopark Renat Khalimov presented to Pashinyan the goals and  objectives of Innopolis, current and promising development programs,  talked about the city's development model built on the basis of  public- private partnership.

Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the programs and working  conditions of a number of IT companies operating in the town, some  technology enterprises submitted to Pashinyan proposals for  developing cooperation with Armenia.

The town of Innopolis, opened in 2015, covers an area of 1200  hectares and currently has about 3800 inhabitants. The  infrastructure, economy, education, services operating here are based  on information technologies, robotics. There is a Special Economic  Zone with tax incentives, which makes the city attractive for IT  companies and startups. Currently, over 360 companies are registered  here. A comprehensive infrastructure has been created for the  provision of services: residential complexes, kindergartens, schools,  medical and sports centers, postal and bank branches, etc.  Nikol  Pashinyan also visited the University of Innopolis, got acquainted  with educational and research programs for training specialists in  the field of technology, which are fully funded by the state.  The  acting Prime Minister found the technological environment created in  Innopolis interesting, noting that the IT field in Armenia is  developing dynamically, and the government is interested in  constantly improving the conditions for the activities of companies  in the field. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan noted the importance  of exchanging experience with Innopolis as a successful example of  the use of innovative technologies.
