As a result, the dram continued to strengthen against the dollar from April 26 to 30, 2021, from 520.5 to 520 AMD / $ 1, continuing to weaken against the euro - from 626.5 to 627.5 AMD / 1 EUR, and against the ruble at the level of 7 AMD / 1 RUB. A year earlier, on April 30, 2020, the AMD exchange rate against the dollar was 480.5 AMD / $ 1, against the euro - 521.5 AMD / 1 EUR, and against the ruble - 6.6 AMD / 1 RUB, which, in comparison with the current exchange rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the AMD to the dollar, euro, and the ruble.
As ArmInfo was told in the press service of the RA Central Bank, on April 26-30, transactions in the foreign exchange market totaled $ 11.3 million at an average rate of 521.27 AMD / $ 1 (versus 523.59 AMD / $ 1 in the previous week). Moreover, during the reporting week, the foreign exchange interbank, having worked actively every day, highlighted the maximum volumes on Tuesday and Wednesday - $ 2.8 million each.
At the same time, on the intrabank foreign exchange market from April 26 to April 30, in comparison with the previous period (April 19-23), the growth of dollar purchases accelerated from 3.1% to 4.4%, while the sales dynamics reversed from a 46.8% decline to 17.2% growth, the trend of euro transactions reversed from a downward 12.5-39.3% to an upward 5.6-23.5%, and in ruble transactions the growth of purchases slowed down from 45.5% to stagnant 0.2 % when the sales trend reverses from 8.2% decline to 1.6% growth. As a result, during the reporting period, $ 99.98 million was purchased at an average rate of 518.87 AMD / $ 1, 13.3 million euros at an average rate of 625.78 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.6 billion rubles at an average rate of 6.92 AMD / 1RUB, and sold $ 91.5 million at an average rate of 521.81 AMD / $ 1, 16.8 million euros at an average rate of 631.83 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.02 billion rubles. at an average rate of 7.04 AMD/ 1RUB.
