ArmInfo.Revenue in the communications sector of Armenia in the first quarter of 2021 accelerated the annual decline from 1.2% to 2.4%, amounting to 33.7 billion drams ($ 64.4 million). At the same time, the trend of the dominant (91.6%) telecommunications sector reversed from a downward 2% to an upward 0.3%, with a revenue of 30.9 billion drams.
According to statistics, in March 2021 alone the revenue of the communications sector increased by 10.9% to 11.9 billion drams ($ 22.7 million). Moreover, the 10% growth over the month was provided by the telecommunications sector, with revenue of 10.9 billion drams.
To note for comparison, that the revenue of the communications sector of Armenia in the 1st quarter of 2020 amounted to 34.8 billion drams, of which 31.4 billion drams were provided by the telecommunications sector.
