During audit of legality of spending budgetary funds, Ministry of  Finance of Armenia recorded violations in amount of 2.7 billion drams

ArmInfo. On May 13, during a cabinet meeting, the Armenian government approved the annual report of the Ministry of Finance on monitoring the execution of the state budget  for 2020.

According to the substantiation certificate to the document, the  Department of Financial and Budgetary Control of the Ministry of  Finance of Armenia during the reporting period carried out checks on  the legality and reliability of spending funds from the state budget,  republican trust funds and other state sources, government bodies and  business entities. Checks were also carried out in companies with 50%  or more state participation in the expenditure of funds allocated  from the state budget.

So, out of 22 inspections provided for by the control program for  2020, 8 were completed during the reporting period, and 3 more - in  2021. 3 cross-checks were also completed.  

As a result, according to the carried out and completed checks,  violations were recorded in the amount of 2,732.5 million drams. A  suggestion was made to reinstate 2,249.2 million drams (reissue), of  which 483.3 million drams are violations of the following nature:  inappropriate, ineffective use, violations of the Law on Procurement,  etc.  

During the reporting period, an amount of 504.1 million drams was  restored (including 387.1 million drams for violations recorded in  2020, and 117 million drams for previous years).
