ArmInfo.In 2020, following the results of the adjustments made, the budget of the Ministry of Defense was increased to 400 billion drams (about $ 769 million), instead of the planned 307 billion drams (about $ 590 million). This was announced on June 1 by acting RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan in the parliament during the preliminary discussion of the annual report "On the execution of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2020".
According to the acting Head of the Ministry of Finance, according to the results of the year, funds in the amount of about 387.5 billion drams (about $ 745 million) were actually used. According to Janjughazyan, the actual allocations of the Ministry of Defense for 2019 were comparable to the program indicator for 2020 - about 307 billion drams.
Earlier today, Atom Janjughazyan said that in 2020, expenses in connection with the pandemic amounted to 75.3 billion drams, and expenses related to martial law - about 124 billion drams.
