Mutual trade between the EAEU countries increased 1.3-fold in 4  months

ArmInfo. After the coronavirus pandemic, economic growth in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union is recovering. This was stated by the Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich during a briefing following a meeting with the  business community of Belarus.

In particular, he said that the volume of mutual trade for 4 months  of 2021 on an annualized basis increased 1.3-fold, amounting to $ 21  billion. For the correctness of the information,  Myasnikovich said that without the cost of energy resources, the  growth of mutual trade between the EAEU countries amounted to 21.7%.  "This is somewhat even better than the indicators of trade with the  countries of the Far Arc (countries of Asia and Oceania, Africa and  the Middle East, Latin America) and mutual trade within the EU," he  stressed. The upward trend of Armenia's foreign trade turnover with the EAEU  countries was caused by Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and in the  direction of Belarus, foreign trade sank. In particular, the foreign  trade turnover of Armenia with Russia accelerated the annual growth  from 2% to 2.4%, with Kazakhstan - from 3.5% to 71.1%, with  Kyrgyzstan came out of the 22.1% decline by 93.1% growth, and with  Belarus, on the contrary, reversed the dynamics from 14.9% growth to  31.9% decline.
