Electronic cash registers system introduced in Armenia

Electronic cash registers system introduced in Armenia

ArmInfo. In order to avoid possible problems with the modernization of cash registers, by the decision of the government, an electronic cash registers system was introduced,  the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of  Armenia reports.

"Regardless of the size of the company and the tax regime in which it  operates, when trading on the Internet site, it can use an electronic  cash register," the tax authority said in a statement.

An electronic cash register is software that issues an electronic  receipt when goods are delivered, services are performed or business  transactions are performed through a website or an electronic  application (electronic trading platform). The software of the  electronic cash register is implemented by an economic entity. The  State Revenue Committee ensures the exchange of information between  the SRC and the electronic cash register.

To register an electronic cash register, a taxpayer must submit an  application to the tax authority through the electronic reporting  system. After filling in the data, the taxpayer receives a  certificate. This ensures secure communication. Prerequisite: the  electronic receipt must contain a list of product names, a QR code  that contains summary information about receipt.

Electronic cash register works online, payment can be made both in  cash and non-cash. Taxpayers can print an electronic receipt or send  it to a citizen electronically.

On the official website of the SRC, there is a manual for the  integration of the electronic cash register web service and the  certificate required for integration.
