Armenia will allocate 8.8 billion AMD for July utility bills, health  care costs, pensions, benefits, salaries of Artsakh residents

ArmInfo.Armenia will provide financial assistance to Artsakh in the amount of about 8.8 billion drams. The corresponding decision was made on July 1 at the meeting  of the RA government.

As Acting Minister of Finance of Armenia Atom Janjughazyan stated,  presenting the document, 1.2 billion drams will be directed to cover  utility costs of Artsakh residents for July this year. (1,204,550.0  thousand drams will be allocated to the government of the Artsakh  Republic on the basis of a donation agreement - ed. note).

An amount of about 7.6 billion drams will be allocated to the Artsakh  government as part of an interstate loan at an interest rate of  0.001% per annum, with a maturity date before January 1, 2025. In  particular, the funds in the amount of 7,584,511,300 drams will be  directed to financing the July payments of pensions, benefits,  salaries of Artsakh people and expenses of the health care system.   As Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said, from  November 9 as of today, the RA has allocated 53 billion drams to  finance 14 programs. In general, it was decided to provide financial  assistance in the amount of 74 billion drams, to which, as Pashinyan  explained, the indicated 8.8 billion drams can be added. "Thus,  Armenia's financial assistance to Artsakh will amount to about 83  billion drams, 52 billion of which have already been spent," the  acting Prime Minister of RA said.
