Growth rates of electricity generation have slowed down in Armenia 

ArmInfo.In Armenia, in January-May 2021, electricity generation amounted to 3310.3 million kWh, with a slowdown in y-o-y growth from 8.3% to 2%. And over the month alone,  it slightly slowed down the decline from April 13% to May 12.9%,  amounting to 557.3 million kWh.  This is evidenced by the data of the  RA Statistical Committee.  According to statistics, in January-May  2021, compared to the same period in 2020, electricity generation 

by TPPs was reduced by 0.7% to 1064.6 million kWh, and the Armenian  NPP - by 5.9% to 1237.6 million kWh. At the same time, an increase in  electricity generation was recorded by hydroelectric power plants -  by 14.8% to 976.6 million kWh

During the reporting period, 11.3 thousand gigajoules of thermal  energy were produced, with a y-o-y decline of 38.6%.

During the reporting period, wind farms produced 0.7 million kWh  electricity, which is 46.2% less than a year ago.  The volume of  production of solar power plants amounted to 30.8 million kWh, which  is 4.5-fold more than a year ago.
