ArmInfo.Revenue in the communications sector of Armenia in January-May 2021 amounted to 58.1 billion drams ($ 111 million), with an increase of 3.2% per annum (against a 4% decline a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
According to statistics, the lion's share of the total revenue was provided by the telecommunications sector - 91.4% or 53.1 billion drams ($ 101.3 million), with an increase of 4.4% per annum (against a 3.9% decline a year earlier).
In May 2021 alone, the total revenue of the communications sector amounted to 12.9 billion drams, having increased by 12.6% over the month. At the same time, the telecommunications sector increased its revenue in May by 13.6% - up to 11.7 billion drams.
As a comparison, we note that in January-May 2020, the revenue of the communications sector of Armenia amounted to 57.2 billion drams. Of the total volume of the received revenue, 51.7 billion drams is from the telecommunications sector.
