ArmInfo.A four-day mission was carried out at the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia within the framework of the "Support to the Tax Administration of the Republic of Armenia " program, funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and implemented by the French "Expertise France" international technical cooperation agency.
According to the press service of the tax and customs authority, within the framework of the mission, meetings of the working groups "Combating international tax fraud", "Risk analysis and integration with litigation" were held with the participation of experts from the General Directorate of Public Finance of France.
During the discussions, French experts presented examples of tax evasion mechanisms, studied the existing legislative provisions in the audit processes of the SRC, on the basis of which mechanisms for identifying and analyzing risks were proposed to improve the process of tax audits in Armenia. During the four-day meetings, the SRC effectively tested the risk identification formulas previously provided by French experts.
The mission was led by Jacques Cherbetian, Program Manager, Representative of the French Department of Public Finance (DGFIP). On July 9, the State Revenue Committee and "Expertise France" international technical cooperation agency signed an agreement on a consulting service with the aim of implementing a technical assistance program in the SRC "Assisting the Tax Administration of Armenia in Reducing the Shadow Economy and Ensuring Stable Growth of Tax Revenues", as part of the strategy for 2020-2024 years.
