In H1, 2021 Armenian banks transferred to the state treasury USD 60.6  million taxes with a 19.4% y-o-y growth 

ArmInfo.In the first half of 2021, the banking system of Armenia sent over 30 billion drams or $ 60.6 million to the state treasury through taxes, which is 19.4% more  than a year ago. Of this amount, over 85.9% or 25.8 billion drams was  paid under direct taxes (including income tax and tax on profit),  with an increase of 13.4% over the year. According to the data of the  RA State Revenue Committee, in the total volume of payments of 1000  large taxpayers in Armenia, 17 banks account for 5.1%.

The top five banks of taxpayers included Ameriabank, INECOBANK, ACBA  Bank, Armbusinessbank and Armeconombank, which in the first half of  2021 sent to the state treasury a total of 17 billion drams (a y-o- y  growth of 36.1%), of which 15.3 billion drams - for direct taxes (a  y-o-y growth of 31.1%).  According to the source, 13 out of 17  operating banks were included in the first hundred of the largest  taxpayers in Armenia in the first half of 2021, as in the previous  year.

Ameriabank is leading among banks on the list of large taxpayers in  terms of amount of  payments, which took the 12th place (against the  21st a year earlier), by sending 5.7 billion drams to the state  budget, of which 5.3 billion drams - direct taxes (including income  tax and tax on profit). It is followed by:  INECOBANK - 21st place  (against 53rd a year earlier) - 3.3 billion (including direct taxes -  3.1 billion); ACBA Bank - 25th place (against 23rd a year earlier) -  over 3 billion drams, of which 2.5 billion drams are direct taxes;  Armbusinessbank - 30th place (against 35th a year earlier) - 2.5  billion, of which 2.3 billion are direct taxes. And Armeconombank  closes the top five - 31st place (against 58th a year earlier), which  paid 2.4 billion drams, of which 2 billion as direct taxes.

The first hundred large taxpayers also included: Ardshinbank - 51st  place (against 37th a year earlier), which paid 1.9 billion drams, of  which 1.6 billion - in direct taxes; Armswissbank - 55th place  (against 39th a year earlier) - 1.8 billion, of which 1.5 billion -  in income tax; VTB Bank (Armenia) - 59th place (against 68th a year  earlier) - 1.7 billion, of which 1.4 billion - in direct taxes;  IDBank - 69th place (against 140th a year earlier) - 1.5 billion  drams, of which 1.4 billion drams - for direct taxes; ARARATBANK -  92nd place (against 99th a year earlier) - 1.144 billion, of which  776.9 million - for direct taxes; Unibank - 94th place (against 56th  a year earlier) - 1.128 billion drams, of which 881.8 million drams -  for direct taxes; HSBC Bank Armenia - 96th place (against 98th a year  earlier) - 1.123 billion, incl. 577.8 million - in direct taxes;  Converse Bank - 100th place (against 45th place a year earlier) -  1.105 billion drams, of which 830.7 million - for direct taxes.

Byblos Bank Armenia was outside the first hundred - 215th (versus  191st a year earlier) - 505.4 million drams, incl. 441.8 million  drams - for direct taxes, Mellat Bank - 229th place (against 273rd a  year earlier) - 477.3 million, of which 461.5 million - for direct  taxes, Evocabank - 327th place (against 90th a year earlier) - 328.9  million, of which 222.3 million - for direct taxes, and Artsakhbank -  815th place (against 710 a year earlier) - 122.3 million drams, of  which 92.7 million - for direct taxes.

According to the Express Ranking of Banks of Armenia as of June 30,  2021, prepared by ArmInfo IC, the total accumulated profit of the  Armenian banking system as of this date amounted to 258.6 billion  drams ($ 521.4 million), having increased by 4.5% in y-o-y terms,  with a decline in the first half of the year by 0.3%, and in the II  quarter alone sagging by 9.1%. Ameriabank is in the top five in terms  of accumulated profit- 64.7 billion drams, Ardshinbank - 32.5 billion  drams, HSBC Bank Armenia - 27 billion drams, INECOBANK - 25.6 billion  drams, Converse Bank - 22.6 billion drams. The banking system  completed the first half of 2021 with a balance sheet profit of 49.4  billion drams (deterioration of the annual dynamics from 4.4% growth  to 1.2% decline), after paying taxes from which net profit amounted  to 40.7 billion drams with a slowdown in the annual growth from 5.9%  to stagnant 0.1%. In the Q2 of this year alone net profit of the  banking system increased by 9.6% (against 11.9% growth in the  previous year), amounting to AMD 21.3 billion.
