ArmInfo.Negative migration balance in Armenia at the end of the first half of 2021 amounted to 1,779 people, which is 23.2% more than a year ago, and a decline of 34.2% was recorded in the two-year context. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
In general, 29,333 population migrations were registered in Armenia, with an annual growth of 22.5%. In particular, 9168 people moved to the country from abroad (with an annual growth of 26.4%), and 10,965 people emigrated abroad (with an annual growth of 25.9%).
The main countries where the citizens of Armenia prefer to move are the Republic of Artsakh, Russia, Georgia, France, Germany and the USA.
Meanwhile, intra-republican migration amounted to 18,368 cases, which is 20.5% higher than the annual rate.
