
ArmInfo.In Armenia, in H1 2021, 3.822 million kWh electricity were generated, with a y-o-y growth of 0.5% (against 4.4% growth a year earlier). According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in June alone, electricity generation decreased by 8.2% - to 511.7 million kWh.
In H1 2021, TPPs increased electricity generation by 9.6% per annum - up to 1,289.3 million kWh, HPPs - by 20.1% - up to 1,253.7 million kWh. During the reporting period, the Armenian NPP produced electricity in the amount of 1,237.6 million kWh, which is 21.3% less than a year ago.
During the reporting period, 11.3 thousand gigajoules of thermal energy were produced, with a y-o-y decline of 48.6%.
Wind power plants produced 0.8 million kWh of electricity in the reporting period, having reduced the volume on a y-o-y terms by 42.9%.
Solar stations, on the contrary, have significantly increased the generation of electricity - 4.7-fold up to 40.6 million kWh.
