Alcohol industry in Armenia demonstrates high growth rates

ArmInfo. In H 2021, the production volumes of alcoholic beverages produced in Armenia show an upward trend. According to the data of the Statistical Committee of  the Republic of Armenia, the volume of absolutely all alcoholic  beverages produced in Armenia increased during the reporting period.

So, in H1 2021, Armenia produced 18.7 million liters brandy, which is  23.7% more than a year ago (against a 14.7% decline in the same  period in 2020).

The volume of wine produced in Armenia changed the y-o-y dynamics  from a 31.7% decline to 49.4% growth, amounting to 5.8 million  liters, champagne - from a 33.8% decline to 53.2% growth up to 256.3  thousand liters.

The production of vodka also increased in Armenia - by 32.3% to 2.1  million liters, (against a 20.8% decline a year earlier), and beer -  by 23.2% to 7.1 million liters, (against a 13.3% decline a year  earlier).

According to statistics, the highest growth rates for the reporting  period in Armenia were recorded for the production of whiskey. In  particular, in H 2021 the country produced 304.4 thousand liters  whiskey, with a y-o-y 3.2-fold increase in volume (against a 77.2%  decline in the previous year).
