ArmInfo. In H1 2021, construction work worth 125.6 billion drams, with a y-o-y growth of 10.8% was carried out in Armenia.
According to the statistics, a total of 359 buildings were built by construction companies during the reporting period (2.1-fold y-o-y growth of), with an area of 95,919 sq. m. (with a 2.4-fold y-o-y growth).
According to statistics, the lion's share of funds allocated for construction fell on enterprises - 40.9% or 51.3 billion drams (with a y-o-y decline of 11.3%), of which 6.9 billion drams (with a y-o-y decline of 31.8%) were financed foreign investors.
28.9% or 36.3 billion drams were allocated for construction from state budget funds (with a y-o-y growth of 43.8%). Of these, 23.3 billion drams are international loans (an increase of 44.3% over the year). In particular, the largest share of credit funds was provided by the Asian Development Bank - 6.9% or 8.6 billion drams (66.1% y-o-y growth). This is followed by the World Bank - 2.4% or 3.1 billion drams (y-o-y growth of 67.3%), the European Investment Bank - 0.8% or 1 billion drams, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - 0.4% or 513.8 million drams (5.1-fold y-o-y growth), German Development Bank (KfW) - 0.2% or 213.9 million drams (with a 3.5-fold y-o-y growth).
The population spent 34.5 billion drams on construction (27.4% of the total), which is 17.9% higher than the y-o-y figure.
In addition, community funds in the amount of 2.7 billion drams (2.2% of the total) were spent on construction work, with a 2.9-fold y-o-y growth. And the smallest percentage falls on the share of funds provided within the framework of humanitarian aid - 0.6% or 759.2 million drams, with a y-o-y growth of 73.3%
