ArmInfo.South Caucasian Railway CJSC (SCR) and "Transmashholding" JSC (TMH) signed a memorandum on the development and production of passenger rolling stock that will best meet the future requirements of the customer and passengers for the level of technical equipment and comfort.
According to the SCR press service, within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to organize regular interaction in terms of developing a strategic product portfolio and assessing the future demand for it on the SCR route network.
It is reported that working groups will be created that will exchange the necessary information on issues of mutual interest, hold joint meetings, as well as carry out other activities that will be necessary for the implementation of joint tasks.
According to the source, the document was signed within the framework of the International Railway Salon of the 1520 space <PRO//Movement. Expo> and will be valid for five years.
It should be reminded that the South Caucasian Railway CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian Railways OJSC and carries out concession management of the Armenian railways. The railway infrastructure of Armenia was transferred to the concession management of the SCR CJSC in accordance with the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The term of the concession management is 30 years with the right to be extended for another 10 years.
