ArmInfo.The flight of the Georgian Myway Airlines, operating from Zvartnots airport to Tbilisi's Shota Rustaveli airport, was delayed by more than 11 hours.
As ArmInfo informed, Flight MJ308 was supposed to leave Yerevan for Tbilisi this morning at 9:10am. So far this has not been possible. A large group of travelers, including families with small children, wait, not knowing what to do next.
Attempts to contact the airport, and the Civil Aviation Committee fail. According to unspecified information, the aircraft cannot leave Yerevan due to non-payment of port dues.
As the passengers of the flight told ArmInfo, no one deals with them. The airport does not want to help, and the representatives of the airline cannot be found, "they got away."
To note, the Georgian Myway Airlines with Chinese roots (the Chinese commercial and industrial holding Hualing Group) has only recently entered the Armenian market. The start of the flight program began on July 6, 2021. The frequency of running is twice a week. As reported on the website of the Georgian airline, “the youngest air carrier of Transcaucasia will have to compete on the route with the national flagships Georgian Airways and Aircompany Armenia”.
Apparently, the young airline is doing nothing good with competition.
