Imports of oil products to Armenia grew by 3.7% in the first half of  2021

ArmInfo. Imports of oil products to Armenia in quantitative terms increased in the first half of 2021 by 3.7% per annum - up to 229.2 thousand tons (against an  increase of 53.3% a year earlier). At the same time, the customs  value increased by 31.3% - up to $ 150.1 million, as evidenced by the  data of the Armenian Customs Service.  

During the reporting period, oil products were mainly imported from Russia (71%) and Iran (23.6%), as well as from Greece (2.7%), the Netherlands (0.1%), and very  scanty volumes from Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Sweden,  Turkey, China, Canada, Switzerland.

According to the source, the growth was registered in the export line  as well. In particular, Armenia increased the supply of petroleum  products by 59.6% - to 240.6 tons, against the background of an  increase in customs value by 45% to $ 142.3 thons.  In the first half  of 2021, Armenia exported the dominant volume of oil products to Iran  (98%), and only 1.8% to Georgia, and the rest fell to the Russian  Federation and Belarus.
