Armenian government approves the ratification of the Agreement of the  CIS countries in the fight against IT crimes

ArmInfo. On September 16, the Armenian government approved the ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Member States of the Commonwealth of  Independent States in the fight against crimes in the field of  information technology, signed in Dushanbe on September 28, 2018.

The agreement was signed within the framework of a meeting of the  Council of CIS Heads of State in Dushanbe. Its entry into force will  create modern legal mechanisms for the practical interaction of  Russian competent authorities with colleagues from other CIS  countries for effective prevention, detection, suppression,  investigation and disclosure of crimes in the field of information  technology.  The Agreement provides that the Parties, in accordance  with the Agreement, national legislation and international treaties  to which they are parties, cooperate in order to ensure the  prevention, detection, suppression, disclosure and investigation of  crimes in the field of information technology.  In particular, we are  talking about possible cooperation in the exchange of information  about impending or committed crimes and persons involved in them, the  execution of requests for assistance in providing information that  can help in the investigation, as well as the conduct of coordinated  operations.
