Armenia to start developing innovative activities in cooperation with  Skolkovo Foundation

ArmInfo.The Armenian Imagine HUB by Soft company and the Skolkovo Foundation signed a memorandum on innovative cooperation. According to the press service  of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, the document was signed during  the Armenian Business Forum, by Director of Imagine HUB by Soft Inga  Vardazaryan and and Alexander Okunev, Deputy Vice- President for  Regional Development and Cooperation with the CIS of the SKOLKOVO  Foundation.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to  cooperate in the development of innovative activities in the Republic  of Armenia and the Russian Federation. In particular, the document  implies the development of a network for the commercialization of  innovations, as well as the development and implementation of  initiatives in the field of venture financing and the creation of  joint venture funds, and the harmonization of instruments and means  of public and private assistance.

In addition, during the business forum, agreements on  Armenian-Russian cooperation were signed between the Ministry of  Economy of Armenia, the State Development Corporation of the Russian  Federation (VEB.RF) and the Development and Investments Corporation  of Armenia.

The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen and develop economic  and financial cooperation between the two countries. In particular,  the agreement provides for assistance in deepening economic  integration in the territories of the Russian Federation and the  Republic of Armenia by participating in financing or organizing  financing of bilateral or multilateral projects implemented in the  territories of the two countries.

To note, the Skolkovo Foundation is a non-profit organization created  in 2010 and acting as the managing company of the Skolkovo Innovation  Center. The Skolkovo Innovation Center is home to the Skolkovo  Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), which is one of the  top 100 young universities in the world according to Nature Index.  The infrastructure of the Innovation Center is made up, in  particular, of the largest Technopark in Europe and research centers  of industrial partners. In 2019, three new partner R&D centers were  opened in the Innovation Center - Sibur, TMK and Tatneft. On the  territory of "Skolkovo" in total, more than 760 thousand square  meters have already been commissioned. m. residential areas, research  and educational centers.
