Kheirollah Khademi, the managing director of Iran's Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company left for Yerevan today to visit the Tatu road in Armenia as an alternative route for Iranian transit trucks. Khademi and his accompanying delegation were met by the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia at the Yerevan airport and discussed the purpose of the trip and issues related to meetings with the Armenian side, as well as familiarized himself with the latest events in the region.
For about a month, strict rules have been introduced in the Republic of Azerbaijan against Iranian trucks. Azerbaijan claims to own less than 20 km of a route from a 400-km route from the Norduz border to Yerevan, and recently Iranian trucks have faced such problems as paying road taxes when crossing the 20- km route, IRNA reported.
