Iran intends to take part in completion of the ``Tatu`` transit road  in Armenia

ArmInfo. The Tatu road in Armenia, which is seen as an alternative route for Iranian transit trucks and connects Iran with Russia and Europe, should be completed  with Iran's participation.

Kheirollah Khademi, the managing director of Iran's Construction and  Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company left for  Yerevan today to visit the Tatu road in Armenia as an alternative  route for Iranian transit trucks.  Khademi and his accompanying  delegation were met by the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia at the  Yerevan airport and discussed the purpose of the trip and issues  related to meetings with the Armenian side, as well as familiarized  himself with the latest events in the region.

For about a month, strict rules have been introduced in the Republic  of Azerbaijan against Iranian trucks.  Azerbaijan claims to own less  than 20 km of a route from a 400-km route from the Norduz border to  Yerevan, and recently Iranian trucks have faced such problems as  paying road taxes when crossing the 20- km route, IRNA reported.
