Armenia and Russia discussed issues of Armenian-Russian economic  cooperation

ArmInfo. Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan and Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin discussed issues of  Armenian-Russian economic cooperation.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, Tigran  Khachatryan presented to the Russian Ambassador the program of  government activities for 2021-2026, reforms and a strategy for the  implementation of the financial management system. He highly  appreciated the close cooperation with the Russian Federation, and  stressed the importance of developing relations in economic areas. In  turn, Ambassador Kopyrkin expressed readiness to cooperate with  Armenia in all sectors.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral  cooperation, in particular in the economic and energy sectors, in the  development of infrastructures, new technologies and  entrepreneurship. It is reported that the interlocutors also touched  upon the role of the SCR in the issue of the country's economic  development.  To note, according to the Statistical Committee,  foreign trade turnover between Armenia and the Russian Federation in  January-August 2021 increased by 11.8%, amounting to $ 1.5 billion.  At the same time, exports increased by 30.9% to $ 522 million,  imports by 4% up to $ 1 billion
